We will be starting the year off with fitness testing to gather Fall scores. We will be testing cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility. Fitness tests consist of the mile run, Pacer test, push-up test, curl-up test, and sit and reach test. Scores will be serving as a "starting point" for students. Every day, during warm-ups and other fitness activities, we will be performing exercises that will work on the different components of fitness. At the end of the year, we will re-test to see how the students' scores have improved!
Mondays and Wednesdays are Fitness Days! Students will monitor their heart rate during activity and work on the fitness goals they create at the beginning of the year.
My classes are currently participating in a Volleyball unit!
