               Welcome to Third Grade!   

    Hello! My name is Devan Hope. I am so excited for another year in District 34! This will be my 8th year teaching 3rd grade. I graduated from Western Illinois University with my degree in elementary education. I then continued my education and received my masters in curriculum and instruction with a focus in behavior management. Before coming to District 34, I was teaching on the border of Iowa and Illinois. I am originally from Springfield, IL. I now live in Kenosha with my husband, our daughter (Maeve) and our dogs Jake and Hank. In my free time, I love to read and cook along with doing activities outside by the lake. You can find my husband and I cheering on the Kenosha Kingfish during the summer and enjoying watching sports with our friends and family!

     

    I feel that communication plays a key role to ensure your child gets the best education possible. I send out daily messages using the Remind App. To sign up, please text 81010 with the message @hopewcp and you will be directly added to the class. This is the current information for the 2022-2023 school year! I look forward to watching your child grow as a learner and as an individual as well as supporting your family as a whole during these more challenging times. I am here to support you in anyway I can!
