Esperanza rising
-
Students have started reading an exciting new book in their Expeditionary Learning time titled "Esperanza Rising". The story has everything to do with their first unit learning about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. During the weeks ahead students will be expected to read about a chapter each night. It is essential that students complete the reading and homework because class time must be spent diving deeper into each chapter of the book.
Posted on this page is a link students can use to listen to the novel while reading along in their books. The hope is that with this option there will be no student that cannot complete the homework either by reading or by reading and listening. Their chapter numbers will be one off so please make sure to pay attention to the chapter titles! (the video's "chapter 2" is our chapter 3. The video's "chapter 3" is our chapter 4 ect.)
