Grading Policy
  • Homework & Late Work Grading Policies

    - Homework turned in complete, according to the expectations, and on time will be eligible for full credit. Once the work has been graded students will be able to see their grade in PowerSchool. 

    - Homework that is turned in not according to the communicated expectations will not be accepted. Any work that a student is missing will be graded as a zero and marked missing (yellow flag in PowerSchool) until the work has been completed and turned in. Students can go back and redo/update some assignments, but they will be penalized per the late work policies below.

    - Students turning in homework after the original due date will be eligible to receive up to 75% credit for the late work (completed according to expectations) if it is turned in before the date of the final assessment of the unit. 

    - Students turning in homework after the original due date and the date of the unit's final assessment will be eligible to receive up to 50% credit for the late work (completed according to expectations) until the end of the trimester. 

    *Grades will be broken down as follows: Practice - 20%, Formative Assessments - 40%, Summative Assessments - 40%

    Grading Scale

    • A: 90 - 100%
    • B: 80 - 89%
    • C: 70 - 79%
    • D: 60 - 69%
    • F: 59% or less
