Your child should already have access to our classroom and know how to access it from their ipads. You can also access google classroom from a desktop or laptop computer. Just log into google classroom using your child's AUGS login information.

    Students, if you have not accessed google classroom on your ipad yet, please email me for your classroom code.

    Happy last week of school. For today, we are going to do a very modified flexibility test. I want you to sit down on the ground and extend both feet straight out in front of you.

    Are you able to touch your toes? (Yes or No)

    Today, perform the curl up test and see how many curl ups you can get. Remember to follow along with the FitnessGram cadence, which I have attached as link below. Also remember all of the way you can get a miss that we practiced all year. If you get 2 misses your test is over. I have attached a link for the curl up test cadence and a link explaining how to perform the test. Good Luck!

    I thought it would be fun to end the year with a bit of fitness testing on our own. Today, perform the push up test and see how many push ups you can get.  Remember to follow along with the FitnessGram cadence, which I have attached as link below. Don't forget to use all of the same push ups rules for the test that we have been practicing all year! Post your score in the comments section of this same post in Google Classroom.   • Warrior Mile 2020

    Next week, the AUGS PE Department is challenging all students and staff to do the Warrior Mile individually on their own.  They will have 7 days to complete this optional challenge:  Monday, May 11 - Sunday, May 17.  After they finish their mile, they will use the Google Form below to enter their information.  There is also a 2020 Warrior Mile t-shirt designed by an AUGS 8th grader available for $7.50.  If you’re interested in purchasing a shirt, email your order (name and size) to lance-artnewvo@comcast.net .  You can pay in person with cash, a check made out to Art Newvo, Inc., or by debit/credit card when you pick up your order.  Orders are due by this Friday, May 8th by 3:00pm.   The shirts will be ready for pick up on Tuesday, May 12th between 10:00am - 2:00pm or 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Art Newvo shop:  25819 Grass Lake Road in Antioch.  Please see the flyer for the logo design.  Be safe and have fun.  We are WARRIOR STRONG!

    Today would be a day where I design something to work on our cardiovascular endurance, but it is not supposed to be very nice outside. If you have a way to run inside (treadmill/elliptical), then I would like you to try and run a mile for time today. Post your time in the comment section in Google Classroom.

     


    If you do not have a way to run inside, here is a workout for you to complete today:

     

    5 Rounds of:
    1 minute run in place
    30 jumping jacks
    10 burpees
    30 second wall-sit
