Hello Oakland Family~
On this page, there are resources available about Covid-19 and how to manage feelings of anxiety during these uncertain times. In addition, Open Arms Mission food pantry is open and Comcast is offering free wi-fi services for those who qualify. Please click on the links for additional information. If there is any support you require during this time, please reach out and we will do our best to either provide support or connect you to services.
In lieu of social work sessions during the school closure, there are links to various Choice Boards and Challenges under the Remote Learning tab. These boards and challenges are open to everyone- kids and adults. Not only do they address social emotional learning standards, they are also great for feelings check-ins and conversation starters. Activities will be added, so come back and check for more!
Please choose a Choice Board or Challenge and complete 3-5 tasks per week. I would love to see the activities students and families complete, so please email me photos!
Students~ If you experience a serious emotional or mental health concern while schools are closed, please speak with your trusted adult (parents, aunts, uncles, etc.) about the situation and your feelings.
Students and Parents~ If you would like to contact me during our remote learning days, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be checking my emails periodically during the school day throughout the school closure. Please include in your email a brief reason why you would like to connect and I will respond as soon as I am able.
Be safe and remember to enjoy your time together~
