Thank you to our District 34 families and our community for your continued support during these times.
As previously emailed, there are currently a few developments that are affecting our PTO. Although we are unable to discuss the details of some of these matters, we would like to share one issue we are working to resolve. The PTO has been informed that our 501(c)(3) (not for profit) status has been withdrawn due to some required paperwork not properly filed with the governm...ent. Unfortunately, this temporarily prevents us from soliciting donations and utilizing our not-for-profit status that some of our events use for fundraising. We are confident that this will be reinstated in the future.
While we begin the process of rectifying this situation, unfortunately we must temporarily put all PTO events on hold. We are fully anticipating being able to bring some of these events back shortly. However, some individual events may still be changed, restructured or cancelled altogether. These decisions will be made on an event by event basis at the individual school level.
While we know that this may create more questions, we ask you to please understand that your individual school’s PTO boards will not be able to provide additional information at this time. We will continue to provide more information and communication as we are able to. We have complete confidence that the PTO will continue to serve our children and teachers as it has for many years.
Although we function within the district and provide support to our schools, we are a separate entity so please direct any inquiries to your PTO.Once again, thank you for your patience and continued support

Scrips - Fundraising While You Shop
AUGS PTO will be using Great Lakes Scrip Center for our gift card fundraising. Great Lakes Scrip Center offers a free web service to manage their Scrip program. This will allow you to place orders online, anytime, day or night at www.ShopWithScrip.com.

A paper order form can be printed from our website if you prefer and sent to school with your child to turn into the office. Include a check for payment. If you submit your email address on the order form, you will receive an email letting you know your order has been received for processing. See www.ShopWithScrip.com for a complete list of retailers.
Scrip is a term that means "substitute money".
When you purchase Scrip, you are purchasing negotiable gift cards that are used just like cash. Gift cards are available from over 300 national and local retailers where you already shop. You can use the gift cards in place of cash, checks or credit cards for purchases you were going to make anyway. Each card purchased carries an associated "contribution" of 2-15% or more to the AUGS PTO.
Presto Pay
ShopWithScrip.com offers a payment system that will deduct your order amount from your checking or savings account. Doing so eliminates your need to send a check to school with your order. However, there is a processing fee of .39 that will be added to your order. It takes 48-72 hours once you sign up for Presto Pay for your account information to be verified. So please give yourself plenty of time before the order due date because if it's not verified by the due date, your order can't be released and you will still have to pay with a check for the first order.
Reload
Another exciting new development in Scrip fundraising is the ability to reload a gift card. There's no need to discard that perfectly good gift card once the balance is zero. You can load your gift card with custom denominations in $1 increments at any time and the rebate will benefit the AUGS PTO. You have to be signed up for Presto Pay to be able to take advantage of reloading the cards.
