Hello English Learner families!
Thank you for visiting my webpage. Included in this site are a variety of resources that include:
- Remote Learning resources by grade level. The Remote Learning tab is located at the bottom of my pages list. I will post daily assignments by grade level beginning March 30.
- Parent information on English Learners
- ACCESS 2.0 results documents translated into your home language (in most cases)
- Program of instruction information
I am ready to go! I will be updating this site all week as I continue to work to find new activities appropriate for our kids. Illinois has established a link of activities for multiple learners, including English Learners. Check my Remote Learning tab for updates.
ACCESS 2.0 testing for 2020 was completed in late Febuary. ACCESS 2.0 is the annual measure of English Language Proficiency in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. For a child to be released from English Learner (EL) services, he/she must attain an overall composite score of 4.8 to be considered English proficient. Formal results will be received over the summer and sent home to you when we return to school in August. More detailed information can be found on the Classroom News page, ACCESS 2.0.
While we are off school due to the current health crisis, some students should be able to reach me through air drop, Google classroom or SeeSaw (Grades K-2 - through their classroom teacher). E-mail is a definite way students and parents can contact me! email@example.com
Thanks! Stay positive and please stay safe.
