Dear Students, Parents, Guardians, and Esteemed Visitors,
With a deep sense of honor and privilege, I assume the role of Principal here at Oakland. The opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young minds is a lifelong passion that I hold close to my heart. Having amassed 14 years of teaching experience spanning various grade levels within elementary and middle school settings, and an additional 7 years as an assistant principal and principal at both levels, I stand here profoundly grateful to be part of this compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking school community.
First and foremost, I extend a wholehearted welcome to each of you to Oakland! Our collective aspiration is to furnish every child with an education of the highest caliber. I firmly believe that it takes a collaborative village comprising of teachers, parents, and community members to raise a child to their fullest potential. As educators, we bear the extraordinary responsibility of not only imparting knowledge, but also of making a positive, lasting impact on their lives. To this end, I am steadfast in my belief in educating the whole child, addressing their instructional, social, and emotional needs.
In my capacity as Principal, I pledge to prioritize the well-being and growth of our students in every decision we undertake as a school. Our relentless commitment is to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset that are fundamental to carving out a successful future. We shall foster curiosity and problem-solving, instill a lifelong love for learning, and cultivate a growth mindset alongside grit, empowering our students to confront challenges with unwavering confidence and perseverance.
