What are the hours at Hillcrest Elementary?
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:35 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
Wednesday 8:35 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
To provide a consistent educational program, a five-day attendance commitment, Monday-Friday, is required for all kindergarten students.
Will bus just drop off our kindergarten student at the bus stop?
No, all kindergarten students will not be let off of a bus unless a parent is present. If no one is present to get the student off of the bus your kindergarten student will be returned to school.
Is food service provided for kindergarten students?
Yes, kindergarten students will have food service available. Similar to current practice, lunch is offered as an optional purchase or students may bring a lunch from home. Milk will be offered for purchase if bringing lunch from home.
Will the half-day program still be a choice?
The option for a standard half-day program will be available Monday-Friday. Full and half-day students will be enrolled in the same classrooms. Bussing is not available for half-day programming. For more information please contact the school.
How do I go about picking up my kindergarten student early from school?
Please send a note to school with your student on the day your student is to be picked-up. If a note is not sent please call the office before 2 p.m. so we can have them in the proper location for parent pick up.
What forms do I need to register for kindergarten?
You will complete registration online at antioch34.com. Once you register online you will need to either attach or bring into the office the following items:
- Official birth certificate
- Proof of residency
- Home Language Survey
- Immunizations and physical (due before student can start)
