Mrs. Debbie Johnson
My family and I are relatively new to the area. We just moved to Antioch in July of 2018 from Tennessee. My husband, Aaron, is previous military and now works for a large manufacturing company that has moved us around some. We have also lived in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Wisconsin, Mississippi and Texas. We have 3 children. Drew is a junior at Northern Illinois University, Blake attends Antioch Community High School, and Ashley is at Antioch Elementary School. Our animal family member is a boxer named Winnie. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family being out and about seeing new places. When I have some quiet time, I love to read and occasionally catch a movie.
Before my time here at W.C. Petty, my previous experience teaching includes all ages from preschool through adult education. I was a Resource Language Arts teacher at Ellison High School in Texas. I taught at a private elementary school in Mississippi and provided nutrition education through University of Wisconsin -Extension. Most recently, I was the 3rd and 4th grade Special Education Inclusion Teacher at Griffith Elementary in Tennessee. I am very excited to be a part of the W.C. Petty team!
